On the 8th of January 2019, M/V Alkimos Heracles, 82,000 dwt Kamsarmax bulk carrier, arrived at the port of Doraleh, Djibouti. The vessel was on a crucial mission, transporting 80,000 mts of cereals on behalf of the Ministry of Agriculture of Ethiopia.
Upon docking at the port, the crew members of M/V Alkimos Heracles were warmly welcomed by Mr. Wahib Daher Aden, the DMP General Manager, and Mr. Habon Abdurahman Aden, the DMP Commercial Director. This gracious reception exemplified the spirit of hospitality and cooperation extended by the port authorities to the vessel and its crew.
In a gesture of appreciation and to mark this significant occasion, the DMP representatives presented a commemorative plaque to the ship's captain. This token of recognition celebrated M/V Alkimos Heracles as the first-ever Kamsarmax type vessel to grace the port of Doraleh, further cementing the vessel's place in maritime history.
M/V Alkimos Heracles, constructed in 2014 by Japan's Tsuneishi Shipyard, stands as an exemplary representative of ANC's modern fleet. As one of two sisterships managed by the company, it showcases Ariston's commitment to operating state-of-the-art vessels.
